Whenever i happen to come upon some streaming video in firefox, no matter what kind it is, the video loads fully and plays but i loose control of the entire screen. Nothing opens, no closes, no buttons could be clicked. I could, however, ctrl+alt+delete and open task manager; but still, nothing in task manager could be clicked. The video could finish playing, and still nothing, I have to restart my computer just to regain control. Is there anything specific that is causing the problem? This just started today; never happened before. Yesterday i was streaming video fine, just today, it makes my entire system crash.

try FireFox 3.0 Beta
You must have an issue with your PC. I don't have any problems with Firefox on my Mac.
Go back to using IE. Firefox is not worth the hassle.
