I downloaded some video's off you tube and burnt them to a data disk using nero but when it had done the video's seemed abit blurry and ot very clear. So I tried buning them to a video disk instead. Which took 1 hour and 50 minutes and I thought with it taking so long that the videos would be better quality. But they didn't seem to be any better and I just wonderd what the diference is between a data disk and a video is the video quality supposed to be any better? Because one just took longer than the other and the only difference i can find is the menu layout answers much appreciated :)

the problem you are having is the same that I had... or it sounds really similar. Most of the video on youtube/ebaumsworld/blah blah...is very low grade for posting purposes. They are limited to size so the picture has to give some resolution to make up for it.
The disk question...neither are "better" they are the same for the most part. One is mainly used for re-writing. You might want to look into joox.net for good quality video. or you could shrink the video from youtube a bit and try it again. I had lots of coasters from burning low quality video.

I used to download video clips from youtube and burn them to vcds. The reason why its blurry and unclear is because videos from youtube are of very poor quality to start with. I tried converting them to video formats with higher bitrate and changed frame rates and video scale size in the hopes of producing better video quality but they all ended just the same. If it came from youtube, dailymotion and other sites of the same kind, expect them to be of very poor quality when they're burnt to vcd or dvd.
It doesn't matter how long it took for nero to process them. The reason why it took nero longer to process your video to video disk than to data disk is because when burning to vcd or dvd, nero still has to convert the video from its original format to "mpg (vcd compliant)" or ".dat format" or to "vob (dvd compliant)" format. Nero don't need to reformat videos when burning them to data disk. I hope my explanation have enlightened you somehow...
***If you're into downloading and burning anime episodes like I do, just go to anime-eden.com to download anime episodes of high video quality.

you should've copied the disk entirely as a short cut to copying.thats what i normally do.
